In May 2020 Creative Darlington worked with Undivided Pictures to develop a call out for original short films from Darlington residents, responding to the topic of the Covid-19 Lockdown. Films had to have no more than four characters and be a maximum of five minutes long. With a great response to the call out, five films were selected by a panel. These films were offered for public vote through the Creative Darlington website. With more than 1,600 votes, the successful winner received £100 worth of vouchers for Darlington Hippodrome.
The competition was created by Susie Potter and Dalton Deverell whose creative roots both started in Darlington.
