Yvonne Preston, Scrapstudioarts, delivered arts and recycling-based workshops, projects, events, parties and managed a scrap store in Darlington for many years, her work using scrap materials and recycling engaged many people in the Darlington.
She delivered two projects with Creative Darlington support, one transforming a stall in Darlington Market into a Christmas grotto and the other, alongside Chris Connaughton, encouraging people to engage with Darlington Borough Art Collection as part of an Art UK programme to raise the profile of public collections.
