Tracks is a fantastic music collective aiming to develop activities and services for the benefit of local musicians, music organisations and audiences living, working and visiting the area.

Creative Darlington has supported Tracks Darlington’s delivery in the borough, including the Last Train Home music and comedy festival, since 2017/18.  The Last Train Home music and comedy festival normally includes stages at Darlington Hippodrome, The Forum Music Studios, and the Hullabaloo, all within walking distance of Darlington Station.

We’ve also backed other areas of their brilliant work, including BIG Little Gigs, relaxed and family friendly live music performances welcoming adults with young children, Noisy Daughters events, addressing inequalities in the music industry, and Hark! The Sound of Stories events, exploring the connections between live music and creative writing (poetry and literature).

Hark! The Sound of Stories events, with guest readers alongside artists and bands on the bill, are frequently held in Darlington Library, and they, alongside other aspects of Tracks Darlington’s work, are well worth checking out.
