Creative Darlington commissioned Lizzie Lovejoy to deliver the Now, Then project, as part of the Arts Council England Your Library Story project at Darlington Library, Darlo Draws: Our Library | Lizzie Lovejoy. Lizzie led drop-in sessions, gathered stories and encouraging people to draw, generating a fantastic exhibition for the Art Gallery in Darlington Library, showcasing their original work, alongside images selected from a selection of respondents to the Darlo Draws call out.
Lizzie subsequently participated in the Artists Agency Darlington programme, led by Helix Arts, and developed the Circe’s Island proposal with their support. Circe’s Island is encouraging new writing, and secured Arts Council England Project Funding matched by budget support from Creative Darlington.
